Forever Ready Productions wins 5th Regional Emmy
And the Emmy goes to…Responding to Crisis at Elvis Presley Trauma Center | Regional One Health, Forever Ready Productions, Lauren Ready
Many times over the years, our work with Regional One Health has been Emmy nominated, which in and of itself is a huge honor! But this year, we can finally say that our work with the region’s only Level 1 Trauma Center is now Emmy Award winning!
This past weekend, at the 37th Annual Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards, Forever Ready Productions received the honor in a craft category. This category awards an Emmy to one person, in this case the director. But the Emmy really happened because of the the entire staff who helped make it come to life. It was all hands on deck: Allison Wong and Charlie Grant helped shoot video inside the trauma center overnight and the Memphis crew conducted interviews with everyone who was involved the day of the shooting. Together with Katey Perkins and Mary Gunning, we edited a piece that struck a cord and honored all those involved.
As mentioned in previous blogs, this piece hit close to home for anyone living in the Memphis area. As the 2022 One Night Gala approached, we wanted to find a tasteful way to tell the story of the lifesaving work that happens behind closed doors.
Striking a balance of true care for the stories of patients treated and the training and preparation doctors and nurses had for that day was a challenge. We vowed not to be sensational but also to be truthful. And it was important to hear directly from the folks on the front lines of the event.
It’s an extreme honor to get to do this work! And to be recognized by our peers with an Emmy is always an honor. But it’s not possible without great partners like Regional One Health, as well as great staff who make all the pieces come together in such an impactful way.
Since 2016 we’ve received a total of 14 Emmy nominations and received 5 Emmy Awards.
