Emmy Nominations: Stories That Call People To Act

We are honored and ecstatic to announce that our documentaries, “Walking in Memphis: Dangerous by Design” and “What We’ll Never Know”, have been nominated in the Societal Concerns category for the 39th Midsouth Emmy Awards!

These nominations from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Nashville/Midsouth Chapter reflect not only the dedication of our talented team but also the importance of the stories we strive to tell.

Behind the Films

What We’ll Never Know

This documentary sheds light on the tragic story of 17-year-old Oshay Sims, a teen who falsely confessed to murder after nearly seven hours in police custody. The film examines the laws that shield interrogation practices from public scrutiny and highlights the advocacy that led to changing the law in Tennessee.

Walking in Memphis: Dangerous by Design

Memphis holds the grim title of being the most dangerous city for pedestrians, with a staggering pedestrian fatality rate of 5.14 per 100,000—three times higher than in 2009. This documentary explores the flawed street designs that contribute to these fatalities and shares firsthand accounts from local residents.
