Forever Ready Productions Expands to Chicago
Charlie Grant and Allison Wong will lead the efforts in Chicago.
Memphis-based video production company Forever Ready Productions has announced their expansion to the Midwest with the opening of their new Chicago office. Allison Wong and Charlie Grant joined the company in January as part of the expansion and will lead the efforts in Chicago; launched in May 2020.
Forever Ready Productions is an Emmy award-winning video production company focused on creating mission-driven projects for nonprofit organizations and small businesses in the Mid-South region. Since its founding almost six years ago, the company has completed more than 600 projects, shining light on organizations, schools, churches, businesses, events, and citizens making a positive imprint on the community. During the pandemic, the company expanded its live streaming services to better help nonprofits shift in-person events to live and engaging online events.
The company is owned by Lauren Ready, who worked in television news in Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, Omaha, and Memphis before putting down roots in Tennessee and building her production company there in 2014.
“Our hope is to bring the same service we have to the Mid-South community to those living in the Midwest,” Ready said. “Our roots in the Midwest put us in a unique position to bring our work to the Chicago area.”
“There’s such a strong nonprofit community in Chicago, and I can’t wait to get involved,” Wong said. “Nonprofits are also looking for more support during the pandemic, so I think it’s perfect timing for us to make the move now. We’re here to help and collaborate.”
“It’s great to be back home,” Grant, who grew up in Chicago, said. “I grew up watching my family members give back to so many organizations and I’m excited to help in my own way.”
Wong, an on-air reporter, and Grant, a videographer, both formerly worked for KCRG-TV9 News in Dubuque. They traveled all over eastern Iowa for their work and as far as Kosovo.
“Our mission-focused work puts us in a prime position to welcome Charlie and Allison to the storytelling team,” said Ready. “Their background in journalism along with their understanding of social responsibility only adds to our team’s unique work.”
