“A Season of Song” Wins an Emmy

We’ve done it again! The Forever Ready Productions team won another Midsouth Regional Emmy. This time it’s in a whole new category: Special Event Coverage.

In 2019, Memphis Botanic Gardens hosted their first-ever “A Season of Song": a family concert featuring Kevin and Bethany Paige, a live 10 piece band and Collierville’s own musical phenom – Regan Strange, performing holiday classics.

Keep in mind, we had no idea that a global pandemic was on the horizon. But we treated this event as if it was LIVE. We shot the entire concert using our studio switcher and then edited the 90 minute show down to 60 minutes to air on Local 24 (the ABC affiliate in Memphis).

Our crew featured the entire staff (even Scott - our operations guy) and took a lot of true team work to make happen. Perhaps the biggest accomplishment of all, we edited the whole show in four days. It had to be finalized and ready to air the following week.

So, we’re proud to have received an Emmy for our work on this special event. It only showcases our capacity to solve problems and do it in a “Forever Ready way.” We kept the entire project on budget and delivered it on time.

Forever Ready Productions also received nominations in three other categories: Magazine Segment (How We Fall Short), Lifestyle Segment (Plant Mama), Interactive Media (Virtual Volunteer Day).

This is Forever Ready’s third Midsouth Regional Emmy win.
